EYEHATEGOD The misanthropic sludge metal outfit Eyehategod was formed in New Orleans in 1988, and became an important part of a Southern sludgecore scene that included bands like Crowbar and Down, all of whom were heavily influenced by Black Sabbath, Black Flag, and the Melvins. Eyehategod was the brainchild of guitarist Jimmy Bower and drummer Joe LaCaze; the two recruited vocalist Michael D. Williams, lead guitarist Brian Patton, and bassist Steve Dale, and debuted in 1992 with the album In the Name of Suffering. Heavy, detuned, and bluesy riffs dominate the band’s sound. They are combined with walls of feedback and distinctive tortured vocals to create a truly misanthropic vibe.

FAQ
1. Can I order advance tickets over the phone and / or IN PERSON?
Yes, for phone orders give the friendly people over at Ticketweb a ring. Their number is 866.468.7619.
To buy tickets in person, you can do that at the HIghline Ballroom Box Office, seven days a week.
The Highline Ballroom is located at 431 West 16th St in Manhattan. Between 9th & 10th Avenues.
2. When do phone and online ticket sales end before the event?
You can always order tickets until noon on the day of the cruise...usually up until about 2 hours before boarding, but we won't promise that. After presale ends, if there are tickets still available,
they will be available for cash only when boarding begins at the boat.
3. Where do I pick up will call tickets?
Will call is simply a list and we will mark your name off as you are ready to board. Please try to have your whole party together as you enter the pier to keep things rolling smoothly.
4. What happens if it's raining or there is supposed to be a big storm?
Grow some balls. What...are you scared to be in a hunk of metal floating on the water in a storm?
Not us. It only adds to the excitement. Really though, the performance area is covered. And, in 8 years of raging the high seas, we have never had to cancel a cruise. If we do have to cancel one,
we will make every attempt to get the word out and will be notifying all advance ticket buyers.
5. Are there any group rates?
As we like to say with life, with love and with parties, the MORE THE MERRIER! If you have a group
interesting in coming on one of our cruises, please get in touch with Sancho and he'll make you happy.
We promise.
6. Is there a bar on the boat?
What kind of question is this?!? If you think Rocks Off would have a show without a fully stocked bar (esp on a f'ing boat), you must not know us that well...
7. Is there parking available near the boat?
Temptress - There is limited parking on the pier ($20-$35). It's pricey, but worth it if you are
willing to spend the loot. There is also street parking nearby with many streets allowing
parking after 7pm. Half Moon - There is a parking garage beside the Skyport Marina ($12-
$20). There is also a good amount of street parking on 23rd St (after 6pm) and
surrounding streets.
8. Can I bring my children on board?
Only if you promise that they will not be annoying. We believe that children should be seen,
and bands should be heard. If you promise that you can keep them well behaved, then we promise we'll let you bring them on the boat. All children must have a ticket and we expect
you to keep an eye on them at all times...our security does not babysit...our security hog ties.
9. Can I go to the pier to buy tickets in person?
No! For the love of God, do not for any reason go to either of our piers other than on the
night of a cruise. The staffs there aren't involved with the concert cruises, won't know what
you're talking about, and will be generally annoyed with you asking. That's a long trip to make to have to turn around empty-handed.
10. Can I bring my own food and beverages on board with me?
Bringing beverages of any kind on board is not permitted (including water). Bringing food is
discouraged, but will generally be tolerated as long as it's just a simple snack that won't make any mess for our crew to clean up.
11. I bought a ticket in advance but I am unable to make the cruise.
Is my ticket refunadable?
No, all ticket sales are final. No refunds or exchanges are permitted. Post on CraigsList or something.
12. Can I bring a camera and photograph the show?
You SHOULD bring a camera. The views of the New York skyline you'll get on the cruise are so stunning they've been known to bring the most jaded New Yorker to his knees. However, not all artists
grant permission to photograph/videotape their performances, so we cannot guarantee that you will
be allowed to photograph the show itself. (But Lady Liberty and the Brooklyn Bridge are way
better-looking than most of these dirtbag musicians anyway.)
13. Is the boat handicap accessible?
It is accessible in a limited capacity. The staff will always try their best to help you to meet your needs.
We've had many handicapped clients on board who have returned time and time again. The Temptress is ramped to the stage, but the Half Moon has a staircase. Please contact Sancho with
any questions or to let us know if you will be coming and need special assistance.
14. I'm concerned about the new smoking law in NYC. Can I smoke on board?
Absolutely, on the outdoor decks only.
15. What hotels can I stay at in the area??
For the Temptress, the closest are The Travel Inn on 42nd between 10th and 11th or the Skyline
Hotel at 725 10th Ave. Both have parking.
For the Half Moon or anything else, your best bet is Priceline.
16. Are you Sancho?
No, you are not Sancho.
17. I have more questions - how can I get additional information?
Email Sancho (sancho@rocksoff.com), or call us at (212) 571-3304.
